BV Tech: Cybersecurity and Sovereign Digital Infrastructure for European Defence and Critical Systems
EU programme participation and secure operations under NATO interoperability and EU de-risking constraints
BV Tech is best assessed as an Italian cyber and digital-infrastructure group operating in the capability layer where deterrence and crisis response depend on trusted data, resilient networks, and protected command information flows rather than on kinetic assets alone. Its publicly described footprint spans cybersecurity services, cloud and infrastructure, and digital trust, with explicit positioning toward defence, space, and state-security customers, and with verifiable European anchors in an EDF 2022 cyber and information warfare project and in simulation and training enablement linked to an EDA personnel-recovery simulator that has reached full operational capability. The strategic autonomy test, however, is governance and procurability: EU instruments such as SAFE and the broader de-risking architecture increasingly require evidence on ownership control, component provenance, and restriction-free design authority, and where such evidence is not publicly available the assessment must treat those elements as not disclosed rather than inferring compliance or dependency substitution.
