Advanced Graphene Products (AGP): Company Profile and Strategic-Technological Analysis
Advanced Graphene Products S.A. (AGP) is a Polish deep-tech spin-off of the Łódź University of Technology, pioneering industrial-scale production of high-strength graphene. AGP’s patented High Strength Metallurgical Graphene (HSMG®) process yields large-area, quasi-monocrystalline graphene via metallurgical growth on a liquid-metal matrix[1][2]. With annual output on the order of tens of kilograms of flake graphene (and hundreds of square meters of HSMG® sheets)[3], AGP supplies raw graphene materials and filaments for advanced composites and coatings. Its customers include automotive suppliers (e.g. for anti-corrosion drive-shaft coatings) and research organizations (e.g. CERN and the European Space Agency)[4][5]. As Europe’s first mass graphene producer, AGP embodies a strategic-materials innovator whose technology could lessen EU dependence on Chinese graphene supplies[6][7]. This report analyzes AGP’s corporate structure, technology portfolio, market positioning, and strategic partnerships, assessing its contribution to European defense-industrial capabilities.
